The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2001 with an intake of 60 students. The department is accredited by NBA and recognized as a research center by Anna University. The curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in electrical machines, power systems, control systems, power electronics, and renewable energy technologies.

The department has state-of-the-art laboratories with modern equipment and simulation software. The faculty members are highly qualified with Ph.D. from reputed institutions and have extensive research experience in power systems, electrical drives, and renewable energy. The department has strong industry collaborations with leading power sector companies for internships, projects, and placements.
