The Department of Science and Humanities has been functioning since the inception of the college in 2001. It serves as the foundation for all engineering students, providing strong fundamentals in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English. The department plays a crucial role in shaping the analytical and scientific temper of future engineers.
With a team of highly qualified faculty members, many holding Ph.D. degrees from reputed institutions, the department ensures that students receive excellent training in basic sciences. The department also offers value-added courses and coaching for competitive examinations like GATE, TANCET, and campus placement tests.
Developing the moral behaviour among the students, utilizing the human resources and coordinating academic responsibilities are the exclusive potentials of the department. The department regularly organizes workshops, symposiam and conferences in emerging areas for the benefit of the students, researchers, faculty members and industrialists.

It is my privilege to welcome you to the Department of Science and Humanities at P.T.Lee CNCET. As the foundation department of our institution, we take immense pride in shaping the first-year engineering students and providing them with the strong fundamental knowledge necessary for their engineering journey.
Our department comprises four vibrant disciplines: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English. Each discipline is staffed by highly qualified faculty members who are not only excellent teachers but also active researchers. We believe that a strong foundation in basic sciences is essential for every engineer to understand complex engineering concepts and innovate.

We regularly organize guest lectures, workshops, and bridge courses to help students transition smoothly from school to engineering education. The department has published over 85 research papers in reputed journals and has completed 8 funded research projects.
